6a)] Continue to work with community initiatives to Target areas of greatest smoking rates/ health inequalities. E.g. Community Development Team, /Roots and Fruits/ Changes/ Parents4Parents etc. 

 

 6b]. Continue to target Low income workplaces: to approach employers in Macmerry Industrial Estate to see if there is support to offer lunchtime stop smoking sessions shared between several employers

 

6c] Impact of School guidelines reviewed.

 

6d] Continue to work with young people in schools on prevention and education in relation to tobacco issues. This work can be seen as preparatory work to cessation services offered by the school nurse service.  Work initially with P6, P7, S1-3.

 

6e] Identify and work with groups of vulnerable young people in the community e.g. Bridges Project /Lothian Villa

 

7h] Consider conducting research with pregnant women on their view of smoking cessation services to explore low uptake.
